Jubilee Church Derby

Safeguarding at Jubilee Church Derby

The leadership of Jubilee Church recognise the importance of its ministry to children, young people and vulnerable adults and its responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of those entrusted to the church’s care.

Safeguarding the vulnerable

Our Elders & Trustees acknowledge that safeguarding the vulnerable is of paramount importance and reflects the nature of Jesus Christ. They also recognise that we all have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults; even if we don’t have a specific safeguarding role.

We want everyone, especially children, young people and vulnerable adults to feel welcomed and safe at Jubilee.

The trustees have approved the following Safeguarding Policy to help with this which you can download below.

Safeguarding Policy

As a church we are committed to:

  • Promoting a safer environment and culture.
  • Safely recruiting and supporting all those with any responsibility related to children, young people and vulnerable adults within the church.
  • Responding promptly to every safeguarding concern or allegation.
  • Caring pastorally for victims/survivors of abuse and other affected persons.
  • Caring pastorally for those who are the subject of concerns or allegations of abuse and other affected persons.
  • Responding to those that may pose a present risk to others.
